memorial day lunch

Ok, so it is really a 'day after memorial day' lunch.

My parents and grandparents came over for a brunch yesterday.  This lunch has some of the leftovers from the brunch.  This is a pretty sweet lunch - sweeter than I would normally send, but oh well!

Spinach salad with raspberry dressing, cantaloupe and honeydew melons, my mom's homemade banana bread garnished with tiny blueberries and cut strawberries to make an American flag (used honey as 'glue'), and as we call it, my mom's 'lem-ongelo'  (lemon jello and whipped cream) with a strawberry heart.

  1. Love it!!! We made toast like that once before for the kids (maybe 4th of July), spread with a thin layer of cream cheese. I need to go buy blueberries now!!!
