summer time!

It is HOT here in North Texas this week.  90's all week.

Today we broke out our semi-new (bought it a while back, used it once) Zoku Popsicle maker.  Nothing frugal about this one.  I had been eyeballing it at the store I pretend to be rich at every time I walk in Williams-Sonoma.  It cost more money than I would every think of spending for a Popsicle maker.  BUT the big draw - you get your Popsicles in under 10 minutes, not 12-24 hours!

We live in Texas.  It is hot.  We are home a lot in the summer.  It is cheaper than an in-ground swimming pool.

That my friends is justification at it's finest.

Today the kids made pomegranate, peach mango cream Popsicles.  They loved 'em!

  2. lol. no real recipe... just used a few different flavors of juice. we picked up a few of the 100% v8 fusion juices while on a walmart run today. not organic, but best thing we could find at walmart today.

I think the flavors were acai pomegranate, then a layer of orange mango mixed with vanilla yogurt to give it a 'cream' flavor/consistency. The two layers blended together a bit (the reason for the pink area).

    yum!

  4. We LOVE our Zoku!! I use it at least every other day...It was a splurge but totally worth it!
Your green smoothie makes a great popsicle by the way!
We also do a lot of pureed fruits and I add just a bit of Agave Nectar. My two year old loves them!

  9. I think you're closer to where my husband works. He's a realtor, but his main office is in Southlake, they do tons of Tarrant County stuff. We're over in Frisco (we moved here when he was still with a builder).
