the 'un'sandwich

This is the first turkey or ham and cheese sandwich you've seen for a reason.  My son likes all the ingredients, just not together.  I don't get it and I stopped trying to understand.  So, this lunch has rolled up turkey, with the cheese and whole wheat pita pieces a la cart.  They are touching, but not technically in a sandwich form!

Fresh peach wedges, cottage cheese with peach, the 'un' turkey and cheese pita sandwich, extra pita pieces and garden fresh tomatoes.

  1. I must admit that my daughter's lunch does not look nearly as "pretty" as what you packed!! How will you do organic frugally? We have tried to look into it and it seems so expensive. Would love to have your feedback! Follwed you here from MBC. Come visit me at www.butsuchislife.com

  3. Ronnie, The initial switch was expensive, but with another month almost down, I am actually excited to add it all up because I think we did very well considering I am buying about 90% organic or farm fresh.
We shop the outside areas of the store, cook and bake more, and are eating less meat. Without shopping as much down the aisles of the grocery store, that alone saves us a ton of money to spend on the higher priced organic items that we do buy.

  4. If you can believe it, I am actually combing through all your posts and making myself a list. :) I may be unorganized, but I'm always prepared (almost a year in advance, lol) but I want our lunches to be as successful as yours.

My sister's son tosses his whole lunch in the trash on most days. :( I just bought a whole lunch set on clearance, I'm so excited.
